How AllTech IT Solutions Added $1M Revenue in 18 Months

My name is Jim Reichard, I’m from Birmingham, Alabama. Our company is AllTech IT Solutions, we’ve been in business since 2004. We started with 7 Figure in 2021, maybe 2022, but I think it was 2021.

The Desire for Growth

We were not in a terrible place, we were growing. I was in a weird situation because we had had a pretty good bit of success, and I was in a place where I was kind of bored, and I wanted to do better. I knew I could do better, I knew I could go further. I just wasn’t exactly sure how to get there or what recipe, if you will, that I could use to take it to the next level, level up our business, bring us further down the road.

That was where we landed. We signed on immediately after the first time we came across it. I looked at it as an opportunity, and it was one of those scenarios where I immediately saw opportunity and potential. It was a scenario for me where I thought, I can’t afford not to do this. This is something we need, a good recipe for adding value to the business, for converting clients, gaining new clients, and having a plan for how to go forward, a pre-built template, if you will, on how to grow your business and capitalize on your current client base, cross-sell, up-sell opportunities. A really good opportunity was presented, and I jumped on it and never looked back. The peer group opportunities were great.

Overcoming Doubts and Fears

You always have doubts and fears, right? Chris says no FUD, fear, uncertainty, and doubt. I’m a big one for no FUD. I try not to dwell on those things because if you dwell on that negative energy, it will drag you down. You have to stay positive, latch onto the positive things and think, “What can I do with this? Where is the power? Where are the things that I can do to make this a positive thing?” It’s not if it doesn’t work, it’s what if it does work. You go into it with that mentality and grow and go forward, doing the things and executing.

Incredible Growth and Results

We’ve seen tremendous results from doing this. We have another segment of our business where we have grown through mergers and acquisitions. I’ve bought three other companies now. It’s not just a recipe to grow, but it allows you to run that play. Like an emerging acquisition opportunity, we acquired multiple other companies and then ran the play on those companies and capitalized.

Showing them the opportunity, the risks, the vulnerabilities, learning how to better present that to the customer so they understand their risk, being able to prescribe what they need in a way they can understand and show value for what we do – it’s important. This program has really helped show us how to present that to a client and win those deals.

The results have been fantastic. It has taken our business from one location to three locations. We’re now a nationwide company. I have a bunch of Engineers. We’ve developed and created our own security team with a group of certified ethical hackers on staff that help us make decisions, secure our clients, and keep our client base safe.

Personal Growth and Impact

For me personally, it has given me purpose to go back and dig in, find joy in what I do, and provide what I feel is a good quality service to my clients – protect them, keep them safe, make them aware. I have the knowledge that I’m doing something positive for the world.

The extra revenue is awesome because I can give back to the community. We can donate, we can hire more people. I’ve added probably seven or ten employees since we started this journey. I’m able to give back to the world by creating job opportunities and help grow my family and do things I wasn’t able to do before.

Advice for Growth and Execution

Really, just execute and know your numbers, do things, move forward. Don’t just analyze things. Don’t get wrapped around the axle with something that’s bothering you. Execute on something. If it doesn’t work, fix it. That has been one of the things for me – personal development, trying to be a better leader, peer groups. I can’t say it has been any one thing. It has been a collaboration of things that really help me be a better owner, CEO, dad, and husband.

Importance of Marketing

We do a lot for marketing; we changed our marketing program. We’re in all the Blades Mastery things. I have a BDR rep, we have two full-time callers. There is a lot to be done. Anyone who thinks you don’t need that is mistaken – you absolutely need it. You need as much of that as you can afford because you have to have inbound leads, cold calls, lead generation. Without that, it will be organic growth, and you’ll have steady growth, but if you want hockey stick growth and want to climb and climb, you really have to do those marketing things. That was another thing we looked at – you can’t afford not to do it. If you don’t do it, you’ll stay where you’re at. You have to grow and go forward.
