Realizing the Need to Scale

When I think about scaling my company, why I decided to dedicate some energy towards scaling it, it really… I recognized what I was doing. I was an MSP, but I really wasn’t a true MSP. I was attempting to be an MSP, and I was spending a lot of time trying to be the hero for everybody. If somebody needed their residential computer fixed, I was there. I was doing subcontract work for debit machines, taking jobs that just took 15 minutes. I was chasing pennies and not getting any results. I was spending a lot of time, and I was looking for a work-life balance.

Initial Hesitation and Joining 7 Figure MSP™ Inner Circle Elite

I originally looked at 7 Figure MSP™ Inner Circle Elite a year before, and I reviewed it and considered it, but it didn’t feel right for me at the time. But a year later, not even a year later, it was tugging on my heart because I knew I needed to make a change, and I knew I needed to be surrounded by a community that could elevate me to the next level. And when I made that decision to join, it was the best decision I made.

Overcoming Self-Doubt

Some of the self-doubt and fears that I had were classic overthinking or thinking that it’s not possible. I struggled with selling managed services to clients at $10 a seat or $20, thinking that no one would ever want to invest in that. So I had a lot of self-doubt on what was possible and what I believed was possible. With a lot of self-growth and looking at what was needed in today’s society and world with the risks and threats that are out there, I made the decision that I needed to surround myself with a team, a community of experts.

Incredible Results

What I’ve seen from results in the program is not just financial results because, you know, we can measure success on finance, but we can also measure success on what it’s done for my life now. The most incredible thing that has happened when I came into 7 Figure is I was at a little about 20,000 MRR, and today I’m over 100,000 MRR. But it’s not just that. I had the ability to scale my business, to invest in more people around me, growing my team, and now I, Brett, who couldn’t get out and go for a hike, I love to go out and walk and get out, I couldn’t even put myself first. Now I’m putting myself first because I have the revenue and the plan to support me.

Advice for Others

So what I would say to someone who is on the fence about joining the program is, listen to your gut. If you’re looking at this, you’re being called to it for a reason, and every time in life we are presented with an opportunity, you have to think, okay, I can take a step forward, or I can stay. Great courage comes, and great results come when you take the courage to take that leap of faith and invest in yourself, invest in your business, invest in your family, invest in your community too.
