How JP The Geek Delegated Sales & Business Development

I’m Jesse Pearson with JP the Geek, we’re based out of Greenwood, Indiana. And I am Jude Warren with JP the Geek, I am our SDR. We joined 7 Figure in August of 2023, we are Elite members, and we are Trailblazers in the Business Mastery and the Leads Mastery.

The Value of Leads Mastery

Jesse’s Perspective: From my perspective, Leads Mastery has removed a lot of the unknown and the training that I didn’t know how to provide for my SDR and my marketing team. They have taken a lot of the uncomfortable aspects and are making it comfortable for me and for my team, and removed me from a lot of that responsibility, which has been the best part. I know that I have a team there, and they are like an extension of our team. Lindsay can teach and train my team on what they need to be doing for these things, which is fantastic. And what about you, how has it helped you along your path?

Jude’s Perspective: That’s a great question. For me, I came into this industry brand new, it has been an eye-opener, it has been a great resource. Not just to report numbers for accountability but to bounce ideas off the other members in Leads Mastery, to hear some of their challenges, to really get to know them, because I had nothing to benchmark off since I was new to the industry. So for me, it is really about, “Hey, are we on the right track?” and then figuring out ways to jump over hurdles. Lindsay is fantastic with that. The camaraderie piece is what I really love about it and knowing we are going in the right direction.

The Decision to Join Trailblazers Leads Mastery

I have known Chris since 2018 or 2019, and we joined back then, left, and then knew we would be back, so here we are. We were at a place where I had hired a salesperson, and we didn’t know what to do, we were a mess. I didn’t know how to train a salesperson, I didn’t know what to do with sales or marketing. We just grew consistently by referrals, and I had no idea what to do, and I needed help. Chris had the right people, the right places, the right infrastructure, and the right training that was exactly what we needed, and it has been successful.

Building a Proper Pipeline

Yes, so we now have a pipeline that we are building, working on, and filling. We have never had that before; it has always been random, “Hey, I heard of you from so and so, can we meet?” We have never had marketing, we have never had somebody dialing, we have never had somebody going out to events, creating events, and doing these things. We have just been along for the ride, and now we are starting to drive the ship.

Shifting Roles

I have been shifting into the CEO role for a little over a year now. I am really pulling myself out of things, so I have completely pulled myself out of the technical work. If I do technical work, it is a weird random occurrence, and now that we have a marketing person and an SDR, I am slowly pulling myself out of sales as well, which has been fantastic so I can focus on the growth of the business, the direction, the vision, and all the things that really matter but were often overlooked or didn’t happen previously.

Advice for Others

As I tell everybody, if you are ready to do it, if you are going to put in the effort, then it is fantastic, do it. But if you are not, then don’t.
